Our Story
Jessica Bell, CEO and Founder of Bell’s Musical Services. Jessica is a highly skilled and enthusiastic clarinetist with a passion for teaching, woodworking, instrument repair, and research as it relates to the clarinet. Jessica, a passionate music enthusiast, embarked on a remarkable journey of research in Tanzania. Combining her love for music and environmental conservation, she delved into the world of mpingo conservation - a wood used to craft clarinets. Through her meticulous research, Jessica aimed to understand the impact of mpingo harvesting on the local ecosystem and the role clarinet-making plays in sustaining both cultural heritage and environmental stewardship. She has taken her findings to national research stages and most recently internationally, winning the International Clarinet Association Research Competition and publication in the Clarinet Journal. With a solid foundation in instrument repair, Jessica has honed her skills through extensive work at Southeast Music Institute. She has worked with an impressive range of instruments from Yamaha to Buffet Crampon to vintage metal clarinets. Jessica's approach to her craft is rooted in clarity, which drives her to constantly research and develop her skills. She believes in reaching the highest standards and strives to innovate all aspects of the clarinet experience while holding on to the industry’s traditions. Jessica has been teaching private clarinet lessons for 8 years and has created a growing community (Comprehensive Clarity) on YouTube. Sustainability is a big concern for Jessica as she continues to research current materials used for aspects of clarinet production and potential new materials that could be used. In the words of Jessica, “ The future is bright!”.

Bell’s Musical Services was founded by Jessica Bell with the goal of sustainably reinventing clarinet parts and accessories, providing top-notch education, and unmatched repair/ customization services. From a young age, her father, Michael Bell, always instilled being proud of her last name. This empowered Jessica and was the fuel she needed to start. Bell’s Musical Services is more than the clarinet. It is family and community. Our team is comprised of passionate performers, educators, researchers, engineers, repair techs, and leaders. Together, we combine our skills and knowledge to bring you the best clarinet experience.
